A day of Spanish

First day of school. My teacher is Liana. Everybody gets a private teacher and mine has good recommendations. We talked the whole morning only in Spanish. Luckely for me the Guatemaltecos speak much slower Spanish then the Peope from Spain. So I understand them a bit already.
The last one and a half hour of my class we did a game "Who is it?", ¿Quien es?. Even in Spanish I get impatient when doing a game. Nevertheless it was great fun, with two other students and two other teachers.

I feel so relaxed. Just been here for two days and I have a whole year to go. What´s the hurry. In about half an hour I´m going to take my first salsa lesson. The man of the guest family I stay, happened to be a famous Guatemalan Salsa teacher, Juan Carlos. So I will do a lesson in my guesthouse, next to the dinner table and with el abuelo (the grandfather) on couch and Olgi (his wife) making one of her great meals. Every morning, afternoon and evening I can eat with the family. Well not completely together. First the guests, Jerd from Colorado and me get the food and half an hour later Olgi, Juan Carlos and el abuelo. The two kids (12 and 8 years old) eat mostly seperate.
Buen Provecho Binkie
