Yesterday afternoon I walked with Gremo in town. He had given me an amazing long feather of a guaimari bird from Brazil. We were making fun and laughing on our way to Melibea and Juan Gabriel. Just before their house Gremo picked a beautiful flower for Melibea when two guys of nearly 20 walked fast up to him. They put a huge knife to his throat and said he should give all he had. He was very calm and gave them his phone and 20.000 pesos (10 euro). I was standing behind him and walked back, holding my feather before me to protect me. I didn´t know what to do else. They were looking at me and then... they run away. (probably because there were people on a distance looking at them).
It was the first time Gremo was robbed, but luckily only his phone. He had also his wallet with money and his papers with him. Normally I don´t carry a lot of valuable stuff with me, but this day I had a little bag with my passport, bank card and 200.000 pesos. Oops we were really lucky.
I already knew Bogota (like all the Capitals of Central and South America) can be dangerous. Today I made copies of my passport and left my bankcard at home...
